are some years that I , Matthew Prince Maureen Viviano and try to live the reality of the city in an active way, taking our time and our (certainly not flourishing) fortunes in social activities combining youth and directed the development of creativity "sleepers" in the city. The Workshop comic Salerno, born in 2008, it was an important commitment that has kept us for a long time and somehow it has changed my life.
Having met the guys that have occurred in the halls of the City of Van of Salerno (who kindly hosted), was always an incredible feeling: to see them draw, try to understand, even argue with them has always been challenging and important for us all.
But like all good things, it seems that even the Workshop, after many attempts Resuscitation forced on our part, has come to an end of its existence.
too many work commitments dictated by the attempt to keep alive the three organizers shabby and lack of other heroes willing to hand over the baton which, require this painful decision.
There are many things that did not work. So many things that our trio of improvised organizers made a mistake, but many more (we would like to say, without rancor but with a fund of regret) missed opportunities by those who could support our initiative with more enthusiasm ...
Patience! There 's been how it went and you do not cry over spilled milk because in the end it's all because of the ozone hole etc ... etc ...
The purpose of this post on this blog for too long abandoned to itself, however, is enclosed by a desire for hope, a desire not to throw away all the work and the experience gained in these two years of work.
hope that the closing of the workshop coincides with the launch of other initiatives related to comics and creativity.
In this sense, the workshop never close, as it will always objective of its former organizers do something to allow the creative forces of the city (and beyond) to meet and work together.
I can only extend a warm greeting to all the guys we met and with whom we have shared moments beautiful.
I would like to see you all and continue with you on a journey that had begun with little hope and gave us incredible memory chips instead.
You are special boys and girls who have much to give to their city and all those you meet.
keep reading these pages.
something to do, sooner or later, will be released ...
A hug of heart.
Daniel.
PS - I remember that for those who want to deepen their knowledge about the world of drawing and comics, is always active with his workshop Leonardo SCHOOL COMIX by Mario De Rosa. The school is located in the Historic Center of Salerno in Piazza Abate Conforti, adjacent to the Monumental Complex of Santa Sofia.
