HISTORY PLANE PARACHUTE

Thursday, January 27 was the first aircraft delivered to Air Force-KC767, which will submit it to a series of tests and activities for the next operational use. The aircraft MM 62229, caposerie of 4 Tanker aircraft under the program, was withdrawn directly from the Boeing plant in Wichita (Kansas) USA.
The event, held Air Force base at Pratica di Mare (RM), was attended, among others, the Chief of the Air Force, Air Force General Giuseppe Bernardis, and President of Boeing Italy, Amb. Rinaldo Petrignani.
The Boeing KC767-A is to the Italian Armed Forces the natural replacement for Boeing B-707T / T operations widely used in aerial refueling and strategic airlift, which was replaced for reasons of obsolescence after an honorable service. The aircraft KC767-A will be the pillar for a unique and exceptional ability to project air component not only of national but of all the NATO. Furthermore, the flexibility of configuration to allow both in-flight refueling missions and logistical transport passengers and / or cargo, as well as the potential to operate in emergency humanitarian assistance, when the capacity for rapid evacuation of personnel in poor health is a prerequisite ( MEDEVAC).
